Reaching Around the World to Fight Threats to Health and Safety

In today’s world of increasing globalization, diseases have the potential to spread across the world at warp speed. To protect the health of Americans and to fight diseases and injuries that affect communities worldwide, the CDC Foundation actively builds partnerships between CDC and other groups to support a variety of international health programs.

Whether vaccinating children against polio and measles, empowering women to provide safe drinking water for their families, reducing the threat of rotavirus or training regional disease detectives, the CDC Foundation works to help CDC achieve its goal of “healthy people in a healthy world.”
