The CDC Foundation Hires Vice President for Administration
March 11, 2009, ATLANTA – The CDC Foundation has named Alan D. Harrison vice president for administration. In this position Harrison will play an integral role in coordinating operations for the CDC Foundation and implementing and administering the Foundation’s policies and procedures.
“The addition of Alan to the CDC Foundation management team is an important step forward in building the Foundation for future growth. Over the past five years the Foundation has nearly doubled in size making this position more critical then ever,” says Charles Stokes, president and CEO of the CDC Foundation. “We are very pleased to have an individual of Alan’s caliber and experience join us. He will play a major role in managing the day-to-day internal operations of the CDC Foundation and in helping us execute our strategic plan.”
Prior to joining the CDC Foundation, Harrison served as the director of operations at the Georgia Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. In this position, he was responsible for finance, HR, technology and multi-site operations. From 1992 to 2003, Harrison was with the Great Lakes Chemical Corporation serving as director biocide technology, and Americas technical support. Harrison received a B.S. degree in biology from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA, and received a master’s degree in biology from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.
