Colleen Goggins and Amy Robbins Join CDC Foundation Board of Directors
February 24, 2010, ATLANTA – Colleen Goggins, worldwide chairman, Consumer Group of Johnson & Johnson, and Amy Robbins, founder of The Nduna Foundation, have been elected to serve five-year terms on the board of directors of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Foundation.
Colleen Goggins is a member of Johnson & Johnson's executive committee and has served as worldwide chairman of the Consumer Group since June 2001. Goggins joined J&J in 1981. After a series of assignments, she transferred to J&J GmbH in Germany to serve as director of marketing. In 1992, she became president of J&J Canada and in 1994 was appointed president of the Personal Products Company, U.S. Later she became president of the Consumer Products Company; she was promoted to company group chairman in 1998. She is a member of the board of trustees for Historic Morven, Inc. and The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey.
Amy Robbins is the founder of The Nduna Foundation, which provides leadership and targeted interventions in the most critical humanitarian situations. The Nduna Foundation focuses particularly on improving nutrition and food security; supporting those who work diligently to treat and eliminate pediatric HIV/AIDS in developing countries; supporting innovative education programs; and providing easily-accessible resources in the early stages of humanitarian crises. Robbins recently received UNICEF's Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award for her support and transformative leadership in countries such as Niger, Ethiopia, Sudan (including Darfur) and Somalia. Prior to creating The Nduna Foundation, she was a co-founder and chief operating officer of Glenview Capital Management, a New York-based, multi-strategy hedge fund.
