CDC Foundation Fills Key Advancement Position

March 2, 2006, ATLANTA —The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation (CDC Foundation) has named Dee Dee Honaman associate vice president for advancement.  In this role, Honaman will help develop fundraising strategies and build partnerships that connect CDC experts with private sector resources to accomplish important public health goals around the world.

Prior to joining the CDC Foundation, Honaman served as vice president of development at Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  Her career also includes development work with The Atlanta Opera, the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville, FL, and the Tampa Museum of Art.  Early in her career, Honaman served three years as a U.S. Navy journalist and is a published freelance writer.
